The online operating diary for fulfilling the documentation obligation in terms of the 42nd BImSchV
In 2013, an outbreak of legionella occurred in a recooling plant in Warstein. Legionella are aerosols that are hazardous to health and should therefore not be present in recooling plants in the first place. They can lead to severe pneumonia.
Due to this, operators of wet separators, cooling towers and evaporative cooling plants have had special obligations to monitor and document their cooling systems since August 20, 2017. The 42nd BImSchV was passed for this purpose. For orientation, there are the VDI guidelines (VDI 2047 sheet 2 for evaporative cooling systems, VDI sheet 3 for cooling towers and VDI 3679 sheet 1 for wet separators).
For you as an operator, this means that you must regularly take water samples from your cooling system, examine them and document them.
We can and want to help you comply with these guidelines.
We regularly take water samples from you and hand them over to our accredited laboratory. There, your water samples are tested impartially. Then, these results are recorded in our online operations diary. In this diary, all important measured variables are recorded and presented in an orderly manner in accordance with the regulations. So you have the possibility to keep an overview of your data. If you wish, we can also monitor your data so that we can react quickly and take action if necessary.
Previously, the online operations diary was an excel-based operations diary. Now you have the option to run a more comprehensive online operations diary. Your online logbook is stored in our INWANET servers and the data is backed up three times. Another option would be to rent a server appliance from us to be able to retrieve your operations log from there.
The online logbook is very user-friendly.
You have the possibility to get a free trial version of the operation diary for 15 days for testing purposes.
Just send us an e-mail to info@inwatec.com. We will help you immediately and are available to answer any questions you may have.
